Week 22 Bumpdate

Estimated Due Date: May 29, 2014

Weight Gain: Up 10 pounds total. Weighing in at 140.

Eats and Treats: Now that all of our kitchen items are unpacked I have been baking and cooking like crazy. Eating out for so many meals while our things were in boxes got old really quickly. These Peanut Butter Cup Cookies turned out amazing!

How I Am Feeling: This month started out with a horrible cough and congestion. I was on antibiotics for 5 days. Boo. My cough has finally gone away and now I am just stuffy and have a sore throat. Check back soon because I will be sharing all the details about my varicose veins. Fun times ahead people, hold on to your seats.

Movement: She is moving so much. I love feeling her twirl and kick around inside of me.

Sleeping: I am thankful to have been able to get several nights of solid slumber.

Clothing: I have been living in my sweatpants the past several days. My jeans officially no longer button and are being held together by an elastic band.

Exercise: With our move we now live only 5 minutes away from our gym. We are thankful that our membership covered multiple locations so we can still take advantage of all the great amenities. Caden is missing his childcare workers from the other location so that has been rough the past couple of visits, and while he doesn’t cry for long it still breaks my heart to see him upset. I made it to the gym multiple times this past week for 3 yoga classes, 30 minutes of cardio, and 1500 yards of swimming.

Most Looking Forward To: Getting to meet this baby girl in 4 months! So excited!

Thankful For: Being able to park our cars in garage and to live in our rental house for the next year.

    • Hi Mari, If you have a current yoga practice and become pregnant most moves are safe except poses that involve deep twists/backbends or any that put pressure on your tummy. I still am doing a few arm balances in my practice :) so it really depends on the practitioner. For me personally, boat pose is super challenging right now, not because it is not safe, but because it is so much harder with a baby in my belly :).

    Also, Question for you – with Caden, do you remember how much you were showing at 22 weeks? I know with the second one you pop more quickly. Reason, I ask is I am almost 18 weeks and not really showing, so just wondering how it was with you with your first.

    • There is a link to the cookie recipe in the post. With Caden I was showing about the same amount :). I think I am carrying this baby a little higher but overall I would say my belly size was similar. Everyone is so different. I am sure you will start showing in the next few weeks more :).
