I blogged about our Babywise experience with Caden and I am sharing how our experience with Babywise is going with our third baby. Here are the links to all the posts I have done in this series: Birth to 2 Weeks 3 to 6 Weeks 7 to 10 Weeks 11 to 16 Weeks 17 to 24 Weeks Schedule Jesse dropped a feeding and is now nursing 4 times in 24 hours. The transition happened at 38 weeks. He began sleeping longer for his first nap and instead of waking up at 10am woke up a 11am. Which was perfect! Because the older two are back in preschool now and his feeding/nap schedule works great for drop off and pickup! All opinions are 100% honest and my own. This summer our family was fortunate enough to go on two separate vacations. We ventured to the beach and to the mountains and it was wonderful to get out of the Arizona heat. But once we returned from vacation we never really left "vacation" in regards to our eating. I started making multiple trips to the grocery store each week because I had no plan of what we were going to be eating for our meals. Which in turn led to the amount of money we were spending on food being over what we budget for monthly. I found myself not being a great steward of my time or our family's finances as June turned into July and somehow I … [Read more...]
The Buschel Digest: August 2017
This is the post where I share anything noteworthy I have been reading this last month. While I did read several fiction books this month there was nothing overly exciting to share in that department. I did happen across several blog posts however that stuck out to me. I hope you enjoy them also. I am still plugging away in my Bible reading. With just three books away from completing the Old Testament I hope to finish the New Testament by the end of the year. Last year I started with the NT and finished with the OT. I included an excellent sermon from our church this past weekend to finish up this post. Additional Reading: What I Learned from Reading the Bible Maybe It's Not an Obstacle Read this. Great reminder and perspective on difficult and challenging events. "What if your difficult events today are actually not obstacles, but arrows pointing you back to Jesus? What if they’re not standing in the way of your success for today, but instead reminding you to come to the One … [Read more...]
The Mama Confessionals: My Baby Swallowed a “Foreign Body”
Well here I sit at my laptop and resurrecting my series The Mama Confessionals. What is funny is that 8 hours earlier today I had decided it was time to do this. My plan had originally been to write about how horrific postpartum periods can be. I seriously feel like I am in junior high again, and really, who wants to relive that awkwardness. Lets just say that my washing machine has been doing double duty lately on my jeans and I am saying thank you for dark washed denim. Additional Reading: I Locked My Kid in the Car & Opps..I Peed My Pants. But instead of writing about all that, life decided get interesting last Tuesday evening around bath time and gave me some new material. Bath time is usually one of two things. A celebratory event that cultivates imagination and fun for 10-20 minutes before the full on bedtime routine starts or a rushed 5-10 minute wash up that usually ends in tears, most of the time it is the kids crying but sometimes I can feel like shedding a few … [Read more...]
Your Friendly Reminder to Check Your Skin & COOLA Review
Disclosure: I received this product for free from Moms Meet, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. The opinions posted are my own. Several times a year I go to my dermatologist to have my skin checked. This has been happening since high school. I had my first moles removed when I was 15 years old and have no idea how many more have left my body since. My last appointment happened in January. Shockingly I had nothing biopsied at that appointment but knew after leaving that I would for sure have several moles removed this summer. My body was still adjusting back from having a baby. Interesting piece of information, pregnancy can cause moles to change shape as well as color. So that is where I was when I walked into my appointment a little over a three weeks ago. I had two moles removed on my lower back and the results came back that they were benign. … [Read more...]
The Buschel Digest: July 2017
I thought it would be fun to start a new series sharing what I have been reading this last month. These posts will range from blog posts, articles, and books that have been noteworthy. Enjoy! Uncharted by Angela Hunt This book was way different from any of her other books. If I had to describe it in one word it would be haunting. Definitely a book that will stick with you and I couldn't stop thinking about it when I had finished. I don't want to say anything else because it would give away the plot. Chop, Chop The Series of a Lifetime by L.N. Cronk You can read these for FREE if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I could not stop reading these books once I started. Which is why I read the entire series in two weeks! It was that good! The character development was very well done and it was so interesting to follow the main character as he aged. I cried, I laughed, and I cried some more. If you are looking for a new fiction read be sure to check this out. Heaven by Randy … [Read more...]
