Caden’s Favorite Green Smoothie

If my family could live at Whole Foods we would. I really love that they have a juice bar and so does Caden. We are both head over heels in love with one particular green smoothie.

Here is Caden on a recent trip to our local Whole Foods store…

Is it weird that I feel like a celebrity tweeted me back? Because that is totally what I feel like happened. Thanks Whole Foods for making my day on a warm summer morning.

Caden’s favorite green smoothie can easily be made at home for a tasty and nutritionally packed treat to hydrate and fuel your body.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 big handful of baby spinach
  • 1 big handful of baby kale or 2-3 dino kale leaves that are deveined
  • 5-8 fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients into blender. Blend. Drink.

This recipe will make 2 servings.

  1. Whole foods is my happy place! Not sure if I’ve told you this or not, but I lived in Chandler 3 years ago! I was at that whole foods every week! Small world. 🙂

  2. My little guy (1 1/2) loves green smoothies and protein smoothies too! I really think he mostly likes the blender! We do spinach, kale, mango, peach and pineapple with coconut water. The protein smoothie is 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, a little almond milk, water, chia seeds and a banana. He LOVES it!

  3. Super cute, my little guy likes green smoothies too…a couple favorites are spinach and pineapple, and spinach/kale with a bananna, avacado, mango and small spoonful of greek yogurt. Hope he keeps liking them!
